Frequently Asked Questions

Collecting device is the device on which you will install our application and use it to do your counts. It can be a cell phone, tablet or data collector with Android or IOS system.

Data collection is the set of codes and quantities that you have counted. For example, when you do a count, you "beep" with the barcode reader several codes and these codes are counted. In the end, this collected information is your data collection.

Yes. Our solution is free for testing and you can download the app and use the web manager without paying anything. The only difference between licensed and unlicensed devices is that collections made by unlicensed devices will have a data limit to be exported, while licensed devices have no limits.

Getting started: Creating and testing your account

1 - Download the app from Google Play (Android) or App Store (IOS).
2 - Create your account through the app or here.
3 - Do the count by reading the bar codes (there is no need to have an internet connection at this point).
4 - After the count is finished, go to the "Transmit" menu of the app and send your count.
5 - Access the web manager with the registered email and password at the time of creating the account, view your transmitted counts and export the data as needed. Access the web manager here.

Watch the video with the first steps to use, where the step-by-step mentioned above is shown.

We work with a device license, so when a license is purchased, it can be applied to one of the devices registered to your account. This device, which can be a cell phone, tablet or data collector, will then be licensed and the counts made by it can be exported completely, without limit.

Learn all about IS Collector licenses.

No. If you are going to work with more than one device, each one must have its own license.

You can / should change the license from one device to another only in cases where the device with the license will definitely not be used anymore. In this case, you must access the "Devices" menu of the web manager and use the option to Delete the device.

When you delete a device that has a license, it will be available to be applied to a new device. But, ATTENTION! When you delete the device and, consequently, withdraw your license, if you have it, all your counts will have limited exportation, as it becomes a device without a license.
You cannot reactivate a deleted device. So, once again, ATTENTION, only delete your device if you are sure that you will no longer need to use it in the future and that you will no longer need to export your counts.

To add devices to your account you must access the Devices menu in the web manager and use the Generate token option. On your device, open the IS Collector application, access the Register device menu and enter the generated token. Ready!

Yes. Through the web manager you can import your list with codes and descriptions. Remember that after importing your product list into the manager, you must access the Download Descriptions menu in the app to synchronize/update the list. That way, when your device reads a code that has been loaded, it will show the item's information.

See how to import your product list

Yes. In the web manager you can configure to work with one of the following 3 options:

a) Allows to count any code
b) Allows to count only loaded products
c) Allows to count loaded products and asks confirmation to unknown codes

This way, the apps in your account will start collecting according to your configuration. This configuration is individualized for single counts, for each physical inventory created and checks.

Bluetooth scanners
You must pair the reader with your cell phone in the same way as you do with any other bluetooth device. Attention! Make sure the reader connects to the cell phone independently. There are wireless readers that are dependent on a signal receiving base. Give preference to models that connect directly via bluetooth, without the need for the base.

Wired scanners
You must use an OTG adapter that allows you to connect USB devices to your phone / tablet. You will find the adapter in cell phone / computer stores. See some examples of adapters here. For your device to communicate with the barcode reader it must have OTG (On-The-Go) technology. Most devices today already have OTG, but you can check if yours is compatible by plugging any USB device into your phone such as a keyboard, flash drive or barcode reader and see if it will work.

No. When your license is 5 days away from expiring, you will receive an email notification as well as a notification in the web manager. If you want to renew, you must purchase a new license and apply to your device as soon as the current license expires.

For Android device
This can happen when using an older cell phone or data collector. In this case, we send the installer file and you will be able to install directly on your device, without needing Google Play, it is very simple!
Request the installer file via email informing the model of your device that we will return with the appropriate instructions.
